Blog Popper Explained
In the video below, I am attempting to explain exactly what Blog Popper does. I hope it helps clarify it to those who asked about it. From my understanding, the two main things that Blog popper does is:
1. Allows you to cookie visitors as soon as they land on your page (meaning they do not have to click your affiliate link to be cookied). Blog Popper will automatically drop a cookie on their computer as soon as they land on your page.
2. Protect your marketing - Blog Popper has several functions that help to keep you under the radar so that merchants will not be able to attempt to duplicate your marketing and cut you out of the picture or teach your marketing methods to their other affiliates.
Blog Popper also allows you to spread your affiliate sales out over several accounts so that you don’t have one account that stands out (and draws attention to you). Again, this is all about staying below the radar so that merchants won’t try to rip you off.
I know it sounds a bit scary as an affiliate that merchants will do this sort of thing, but it’s an unfortunate truth. Not all merchants are like this but chances are you will eventually run into one that is short sighted. Better to protect yourself from the get go and secure your affiliate commissions.
I’m pretty pumped about this plugin. I see alot of potential for it.

Affiliate Black Book Launch Date is set!
OK, X finally set a launch date and this time I think it’s really going to happen:
The Official Launch Date is March 13th - Black Friday!
I was lucky enough to get a review copy of the Blackbook from X and I’m 100 pages into the 151 page monster. I am very impressed so far (big surprise, I know).
I’m really looking forward to working with you in the membership area here at
AffiliateBlackBookVideos.com. I plan to do alot with Wordpress in there. X has some real out of the box ways to use WP that I hadn’t even thought about. I’ve got some stuff up my sleeve as well that I don’t think many people know about. More on that later.
I will be doing a full review as soon as I finish the book. I will get that to you before the launch so you can get a good idea of what’s inside the book. I’m hoping to post that by the weekend.

X Lives!! Affiliate Black Book Update
The silence is over. I got an email from X and he also made a post to his blog for premium subscribers only. Here’s the skinny, straight from X:
“The book itself still needs a few more tweaks, formatting, etc. But the membership portion is mostly done.”
X is working feverishly behind the scenes to get the Affiliate Black Book finished. The membership area that goes with the course is however ready…and man is it jam packed with great info. I’ve been digging through it here for the past hour or so.

Yet Another Delay…
February 4th has come and gone with no Affiliate Black Book. I’ve tried to get an update on the launch but I have not heard back from X today.
From his latest blog posts, I can only assume that upcoming Google changes have forced him to make changes to the Black Book. It’s just the kind of marketer that X is….while most would try to rush their product to the market and make as much money as possible before the tactics become obsolete, X is working to remedy the stuff that he knows won’t work for much longer. He’s not going to release anything that won’t work in a few months. I’d imagine he’s spending today working on solutions for his own business…that’s certainly what I’d be doing if I were in his shoes.
Of course I’m speculating here, but I’d bet money that this is the case; or close to it anyway. So if you’re eagerly anticipating this launch like I am, please hold tight. I promise I will update you as soon as I hear back from X with something concrete.

Affiliate Black Book to Launch February 4th
A minor delay in the launch. It’s been pushed back 2 days and is now set to launch on February 4th. Probably a good move as I know alot of us are still recuperating from the Super Bowl.

Affiliate Black Book Leaked?
Earlier today, X decided to leak a little bit of the Affiliate Black Book. He did it via Twitter. If you’re not following him on Twitter, get over there now and follow him. Here’s a link:
I’m no Twitter expert, but I’m pretty sure if you follow him, you can retrace his posts. One valuable piece of advice that he leaked is bidding on the names and authors of products as keywords. When people are searching for the names of products, they are generally ready to buy (or at least pretty far along in the buying cycle).
X did caution about doing this in the IM field. I’ve found that most marketers in the IM niche are already hip to this now. Competing on names of products can get pretty pricey. Can it still be profitable? In my experience, yes…but more often than not it can turn into a wash. Here’s a glimpse of what X said:
